1. What attracted you to work at Burt Brill & Cardens?
Their reputation for high standard legal work and a focus on client care and quality over quantity.
2. Why did you choose to study law at the University of Sussex?
The great reputation, the legal aid clinic, the standard of lecturers and the library.
3. How did your university experience prepare you for your current role?
Gave me an in depth background the the law, specifically case law and helped me to understand the areas of law that I enjoyed and wanted to explore further. Working in the family law clinic gave me client facing experience and working alongside a solicitor conducting interviews and preparing letters of advice was invaluable.
4. What advice do you have for recent graduates who are job searching?
Take the time to research firms to ascertain whether you feel that they are a good fit for you (whether it be their morals or their practice areas). And don’t be afraid to approach them directly, even if there aren’t specific job openings!
